5 things every company website must have in 2025

Without these five elements your company site won’t bring in leads — and how to build them so they actually work.

A company website isn't an online business card. It's your best salesperson — it works 24/7, never gets tired, and can handle hundreds of people at once. If you have one just "to have one", you're throwing money away.

Here are the five things that separate a site that brings in leads from one that just takes up a domain.

1. A clear offer above the fold

A visitor decides in 3 seconds whether to stay. In those 3 seconds they have to know:

  • What you offer
  • Who it's for
  • Why they should want it from you specifically

No "Welcome to our website." Instead, concrete value: "We design and build fast web apps for e-commerce brands."

2. One main call-to-action

Every page should have one most important action you want the visitor to take. Send an inquiry, call, download a quote. Just one.

When a visitor has five equally important buttons to choose from, they click none of them.

3. Trust-building elements

People don't buy from strangers. On a site I show:

  • Logos and references from clients I've worked with
  • Specific case studies — not "we boosted conversions", but "from 1.2% to 3.8% in 90 days"
  • A real face and name — no stock photos, no "our team"

4. Contact that isn't hidden

Phone, email and form should be reachable from every page. Ideally in both the footer and header. If you don't want customers to contact you, don't be surprised when they don't.

5. Speed and a mobile version

In Czechia more than 60% of website visits come from mobile. If the site doesn't work on a phone, or loads in over 3 seconds, everything above is pointless.

Test your site on your own phone. If you have to zoom, if you can't tap buttons with a finger, if anything breaks — you have a problem.

Summary

If your site hits all five points, you're in the minority. And that's a good thing — it means you have an edge over the competition that didn't bother.
